We have been covering material from Island of the Blue Dolphins. We will move to the next text(Satchel Paige) on Wednesday.

Below is the schedule.

Monday

  • Readers & Writers Notebook p.65, 72, and 71; Dependent and Independent Clauses, and Spelling.
  • Homework: Readers & Writers Notebook p.66.

Tuesday

  • Review the vocabulary.
  • Take a quiz on Island of the Blue Dolphins.
  • Homework: Readers & Writers Notebook p.74 and 79.

 Wednesday

  • Readers & Writers Notebook: Homework check. Fact vs Opinion p.73, Vocabulary p.75
  • Vocabulary review.
  • Read, ask, and answer questions about the story.
  • Homework: Vocabulary Words 1-15 written 3x's each with a definition or sentence for each one.

Thursday

  • Readers & Writers Notebook: Newspaper p.80
  • Read, ask, and answer questions about the story.
  • Homework: Vocabulary Words 16-30 written 3x's each with a definition or sentence for each one.

Friday 

  • Readers & Writers Notebook: Compound Sentences p.76 and 83.
  • Vocabulary Test/Quiz.
  • Homework: Vocabulary Words, week 10, 1-15 written 3x's each with a definition or sentence for each one.
